As you may know my husband Peter was diagnosed in 2006 with AML, a form of Leukaemia, which resulted sadly in his untimely death in 2007.
In Peter's memory and to raise money for Leukaemia Research I have arranged the 'Peter Bourne Forget Me Not Walk', to take place on Saturday 12th July, 1pm, at Virginia Water Lake, Great Windsor Park, Windsor. The walk is approximately 7km and suitable for all ages and abilities. Great Windsor Park is a special place not only because it's local and a beautiful park to visit but a real favourite of Pete's.
All donations made will form part of Peter's Forget Me Not Fund. A Forget Me Not Fund is a lasting personal tribute and set up in memory of a loved one. 100% of the money raised through a Forget Me Not Fund goes to Leukaemia Research.
Leukaemia Research is the only charity in the UK dedicated exclusively to researching blood cancers and disorders including leukaemia, Hodgkin's and other lymphomas, and myeloma. Leukaemia Research receives no government grants and their life-saving research depends entirely on voluntary donations. Today, in the UK, 110,000 people, children and adults alike, are living with such cancers. Leukaemia Research is committed to giving everyone living with Leukaemia the best chance of survival.
If you would like to take part please download and print the sponsorship form.
I would like to encourage as many participants as possible to undertake sponsorship, however if you would like to take part but would prefer to make a personal donation please go to justgiving.com/sarahjbourne.
